Here are 12 ways to build and communicate that evidence when you don't have a traditional employment history behind you.

The most common mistake on entry-level resumes: describing what you did, not what happened because of what you did. 'Assisted with social media' is activity. Some companies hire for current competency. Others hire for potential and invest in training.
